ST20000NM007D-3DJ103 Firmware Update

Hi all,

I am trying to update the firmware on my EXOS 20tbs. When executing the firmware download command I am getting an error stating the file cannot be opened. The .LOD file is in the root directory of Sea Chest and permissions have been set. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Steps I've taken:

Set permissions on directory containing Sea Chest and .LOD firmware file

Code:

chmod +x

Command to download FW

Code:

sudo ./openSeaChest_Firmware -d /dev/sg5 --downloadFW LongsPeakExosX20SATA-STD-512E-SN06.LOD

Code:

Couldn't open file LongsPeakExosX20SATA-STD-512E-SN06.LOD

Hi fzabkar, thank you for your reply. It seems my issue was extracting SeaChest CLI and the firmware package prior to uploading to my unraid machine. I placed the tar and zip files on target machine and then unzipped and update was successful. Must have been an owner / permissions issue.

Where did you get this LOD? I have the exact same drive and there is no update on Seagates site. Thanks
