Toshiba MQ04UBB400 fails every 5 Seconds

October 13th, 2025, 0:59

Hi, I have a Toshiba MQ04UBB400 4TB hard drive with PCB G0034A. The drive is recognized correctly and initially reads without issue. However, when I attempt to image it, it reads for about 5 seconds and then fails. I have to reset the drive to get it to read again, but the same issue repeats—reading for a few seconds and then stopping.
Here's a video demonstrating the behavior.

any idea what can be the issue?

Thanks

Problem Solved, the PCB was faulty, replaced PCB and swapped ROM and it's working fine now.
