Your Seagate drive has some concerning issues too (at least in my opinion).

I'd image it as I initially suggested.

I just noticed this. It means BOTH drives are about to fail?

What does this value mean? "0xbb"? "070"? "30"?

What does it mean "incorect"?

Temperatures above 40°C are considered undesirable, and continuous operation at 50–60°C significantly shortens the drives' lifespan - this has been proven in practice. It would be worth considering some form of cooling.

I thought I read somewhere that the idea that HDs running hot are an indicator of failure was debunked? That, if anything, hotter HDs last (statistically) longer?
Am I wrong? How wrong am I? I remember this pretty clearly from about 15 years ago, so has that "wisdom" been re-wrote due to more data?

I read things, and from what I gather, these large data centers have been studying HDs for a long time. Seems like by now there should not be any debate about points like this.

I've run Crystal Disk Info off and on for a couple years, and the temperature on the WD has always been hotter, spiking about 50C about a year ago, so that tracks with everything everyone has been saying here about temperature as an early predictor of failure. Based on a previous post's discovery, I'm probably going to end up buying two HDs and replace both of these. They were bought from NewEgg as WL "Enterprise" drives that were refurbished, so I knew going into the thing that their lives were going to be short.
