Hello all,

I have a Maxtor OneTouch external USB drive. it has 200 GB en I have devided it in two partitions of 100.

now when i connect the drive to my computer and i copy files from the second partiotion, there are no problems. But when i copy files from the first partition... i have problems all the time... i get warnings like "corrupted file" "path too long" (file is in the root) and the driving is 'ticking'.....

seems like a fysical error, except for the fact that the second partition is working fine... :?:
:?: :?: :?:

anyone any idea... and can anyone tell whether i can get some software, which reads the drive in a different way, to get a much of my data back as possible.

thanks in advance
der D
