Hello experts
I am thinking about transplanting head stack from good HDD to the other so let know please some tips, and :
-can I vacuum clean a big transparent plastic bag and use it as a clean box or better, make the fog in bathroom and wait tiil it settles down (taking down the dust)
-how many physical heads are there in Quantum 5.1 el with serial 3458... and is there a way to command the heads(?parked in center in quantums) to slide off the platters and make them stay there(i.e. open the drive, power it up, issue the aforementioned command and then 'grab' the heads just before turining the power off?)that way a 'comb'to keep them apart might be much easier to insert than while in center
-how about powering up the HDD before closing it because the spin-up might blow away eventual dust/dirt particles?
