Criteria for donor heads: Samsung MP0402H

October 6th, 2006, 15:09

I have one of these in for recovery - bad heads.

Can anyone tell me the criteria for matching a donor drive for a head swap?

Thanks

Hi,

I have never had problem finding compatible heads for this model. I used heads from HDDs with the same model number.

Thanks, Pepe.

I don't have another MP0402H - but I do have an MP0302H. Both models have 2 heads. Is this likely to work, or do I need another MP0402H?

This is what I use to match donor heads on Samsung:

Match these:

Model #

Country of manufactoring

Forth character in the alphabetic code printed on the label at the rear side of the drive should match

Good Luck
