I have a 40 GB Maxtor Hard drive but any motherboard see it about 8 GB only.Please help me and tell me, what can i do?

What model ? and what report in MHDD ?

Sounds like it is HPA cutted try MHDD tool to fix

First of all check what is your MB model, supported HDDs for this version of BIOS. Does it support ext int13. If so check for new version of BIOS
Try to connect the hdd to other PC(motherboard) and see how it acts.
