Hers my problem:
Have a WD2000JD harddrive, all one partition, with Win XP PRO installed on it. It is stuffed with data, about 40GB free
Now i wanted to repartition this in to a couple of partitions, without loss of data. But...
All windows and linux tools for that simply say that is impossible because of a bad block.
So, tried chkdsk, scandisk, system mechanic hdd surface scan, hdd regenerator 1,51, mhdd... no luck
mhdd showed 2 brown boxes
hdd regenerator showed 2 bad secors, and said that are repaird....
but guess what... there is a file "1448" size 64kb in a folder where my backup was, and it is undeletable from windows or dos
also tried gipo moveonBoot
Unlocker
Is there something, that I can do to repartition this damn thing without formating a whole drive?
Thanks gyz...
I realize that this may be a bit offtopic, but hope U can help

OK.
Went and got my self another drive. Data isn't a problem any more.
I'm about to split space to 5 partitions using fdisk, and then formath them all to different file systems.
Now, will repartition and format in standard way get my two slow sectors gone? Should I do a remap or erase or something? This thing got very annoying and I'm hoping to forget all about it in a couple of dayz. Please, help.
Thanks
