But i'm fairly certain now, that it won't help. The "clicking of death" that it's experiencing (from what I've read from various sources) means that I do need to invade (either switch the heads or the platters)....

I'm trying to make a clean box (no cabinet or room available)...

It's kind of suicide with three platters, I heard... but my major concern is for the heads. I read that when they're removed, they should be protected by a piece of paper (say post it notes), is that true?
