i bought a brand hdd WD SE16 500gb. my hdd is not recognised by my system and even hang up my system at POST. I have a MSI K8 NEO4 motherboard. i also tried it on a friend's computer Asus A8 n32 SLI deluxe it is also not working. i tried it on a Gigabyte motherboard. there it works. Strange i'd like to know if the best solution is to return the hard disk to WD. All motherboards i tested on are AMD platforms.THX for ur answers.

check jumpers cabling & bios support before sending for RMA. It works in one system should work in all.
