Hello ,
I had two drives that has confused me both are wd400bb-23fja0 . The first one had a dead pcb the second one was working fine . I replaced the pcb with the working one and the drive did not calibrate , after changing the rom i was able to recover data .
My question is why the pcb didnot match directly even though the model was same ??
Thanks .

Hi,
Because the pcb have some adaptive data, and unique calibration/configuration infos.
