You want to do WD head swap ?

Do some research by your self, in no time you will know most of
what experts know - they just done the research and observations.

Buy some identical WD drives like 250GB JS (with heads resting on platter.)

Remove cover plate, replace, test - you will find cover not so important as previous.

Remove heads, replace, test - be patient - find out why - repeat, you will discover.

Remove heads and transfer to other drive - discover - return heads to original - discover.

In less than a few days you will be expert about WD - for sure !!

I know a great place to talk about data recovery stuff without exposing to the entire Internet. Can you guess where it's at?
