Did any one know about problem with hdd Seagate 500 GB 7200.11 . I bought It for few day but now bios cann't detect my Harddisk / How can I get my data back or Where can I send my harddisk for recovery my data

Where are u based on maybe we can guide to one hddguru near from u country not all companies on DR know the solution , and some times people who doesnt know tried "HDD Engineering" did "quicky" solutions like platter exchange´s , wich could be damaged the hope to did a DR after

Hello. I have the same type of HDD - Seagate 7200.11 500GB, the trouble is that now is blocked after a shock it took from a fall. I know that the HDD has this G-shock Force Protection System. Does anyone know about this system and how to unblock or reset it?

Bestvex, your drive cannot withstand a fall from your desktop : seized motor and / or head stack damage. G-Shock protection system cannot avoid you to pay about 1000 $ and up if you want tour data back, otherwise live without data.... and drive (sad but true).
OR if you prefer.... only a professional can "reset" this.... system (in other words : open the drive in clean room, remove platters and/or remove seizure and/or replace headstack) and get your data back.

I think you are not really sure what you are talking about
These drives have free fall protection and G-shock servo compensation system

Free fall protection system can detect the drive is falling and park heads automatically - that's all it does.
G-shock servo compensation system trying to tune up servo system if drive experinced vibrations.

If you drive felt and now it doesn't spin it's 99% seized motor. There is no magic "unblock" procedure in this case. And for this model it very hard to make DR. What I'm trying to say - if it's seized motor - your data is gone

My drive just bricked up as well after 2 weeks of running fine. Seems to be a pretty widespread problem with this model : Barracuda 7200.11 500Gb OEM. Undetected in Bios. MSFN forums is running a thread to track the problem I suggest you do drop by and lend support so Seagate will take notice.

I agree, seized motors are pretty easy to recover data from...
