Nicola sir ,
Beautiful Work There .So When Someone Buys The Same He Gets Both the Items .Mostly People Need To buy This in Pairs " Donor And Patient " . Other Way Could Be First To Remove The Patient And then Store That Head and Then Use The Tool On the Donor And "Remove And Install On Patient " . Another Observation i Made Was That The Nose Plier Used To Take The Magnet Off Is Ribbed .If a Non Ribbed Version is Used There would Be No Scratches On The Magnet "which Can Amount to Fine Metal Getting To The Platters .You Can Clearly See the Damage at 4:59 Minutes At The Video .

People start to complain about poor quality of the tools
Have you changed place of manufacture?
April 11th, 2012, 11:36
Also about ramp tools
If you make them out of plastic and a lot cheaper that would be nice to have

Have you changed place of manufacture?
We have NONE emails or calls about poor quality of our tools.
Can You please explain what You mean by this?
April 11th, 2012, 15:51
Hello, I would like to know if You have some complaints why have not You come to us?
Tools come with money back garantie, and they can be returned?
What is the meaning of this. We did not have a client witch was not happy with our tools so far.
If You had problems You should come to us.
What do You want to show on pictures?
The dimension of part You magnified is 0.35mm.
When You magnyfy it 100 times 0.01 becomes 1mm. Yes our tools are made with 1/100 of a mm . Tools are calibrated like that.
On picture 4 Rezultat
it is clear that You have not placed the combs right. Every tool has a 3 levels of checking.
We are recently sertified with Iso 9001 sertificate. All tools are made on this standard.
Complaining here and not to us is not the whey to go. We always have a good relation with our customers.
Never ever had a single problem even if some mistakes happened. Saying such things is very bad thing to do Sir.

plz look at the video and animation or read manual.
Thank You for the nice words, in this tool You get 2 ramp tools and one unstick tool.

helpdisc,
It is very difficult to describe their complaints in English.
In terms of technical aspects.
From the correspondence and present your message here, I understand that it is useless. It turns out that I was to blame.
I can only say that the accuracy of manufacture of your instrument is very low.
I need to work, and not to engage in transmissions back and forth is not the quality of your instrument.

Another nice piece of work Nikola, congratulations! Your development and support is top class and I'm a great fan of your tools. I'm probably one of the longest users and have never had an issue that wasn't a "user" fault.
If there was a problem with your tools, I know you would respond quickly and directly so negative posts are a little unfair here if the customer hasn't given you the opportunity to resolve a problem.

I've downloaded pictures provided by Tomset and added translation
I also must say that the tools which I've seen from couple years ago doesn't have the problems described below. And the quality of the tools I've seen was decent Pictures provided by Tomset, description taken from Russian Acelab forum posted by Tomset
Original blades are uneven
Original blades had to be tweaked manually to provide somewhat better quality
Original blades are poorly designed and placed too close to the arm of HSA
Because of the design the tool may damage the HSA
Damaged HSA
Blades after manual filing, not so close to the arm now
Original tool has very sharp corners
And this may cause ribbon cable cutting

Doomer,
Thank you very much!
April 12th, 2012, 2:38
I must say I was surprised to read Doomer's and Tomset's comments and the photos ... I've been using these for a couple of years now and have not had a problem. I think if you contact Helpdisk they will either repair or replace them.

@doomer.
If problem is not knowing English he could write them to me on Russian, I would understand.
1. Pictures One and Two
The point that You want to show here is completly wrong one. That shows that You do not have understanding how things work.
The reason why You have that problem is "tweeking of good tool" i presume.
You are wrong because You think that heads are lifted by the edge of the tool feather. The sloape You show here on these pictures
is not responsibile for lifting heads. Heads are lifted with the curve of the head comp. If it was not curved if it had a slope only it would punch into heads and it would not be able to lift them. The radius on the end of the head comb provides lifting . It always have only one contact with the heads. The radious of it is designed , altering it can cose damage to the heads.
2. Picture Three
of course they are close, it is all so tiny, we are talking here about one hundred part of a mm
3. picture Four
it is clear by the position of feathers that tool is not mounted good. I assume it was just for making pictures.
The fixating screw was not set.
4. other pictures show that he messed up with the tools i hope not it was some mill or something since he could
damage the geometry of very thing feathers.
Damage coused on the flat cable shows that instruction was not folowed and that he mounted the tool withouth taking the flat cable off.
Wich is described at VIDEO, ANIMATION and PDF manual.
April 12th, 2012, 3:21
I have consulted colleagues here, we all agree that he did not moved the flat cable out of the hdd which coused
tool not to sit down on its place and that could damage the head...I do not see other scenario...
April 12th, 2012, 3:58
I am also surprised by reading the negative comments here. I have ALL hddsurgery tools (well, except one

) and the quality of these products is exceptional (to say the least).
I have recently purchased these ramp tools and have tested them. They all work great. Swapping heads is now easier and more secure.
If someone messes up the procedure whilst using the tools, it's not the tools' fault, its their fault. You still need to be careful, and experience is required. These tools are designed to
help experienced engineers, not to enable inexperienced ones.
Also, regarding hddsurgery's return policy, the truth is I had a problem with two of their tools in the past and Nikola changed them for me in no-time. Which is very important too. And I have never had any problems with communication with them. They are very quick and friendly.
Just my .02 cents.
April 12th, 2012, 5:25
I never doubted for a second that I would blame myself.
It was immediately clear to the first letter from the seller, after I had made claims.
Especially after what I had straightened tool.
Now, the more everyone will say that I had ruined everything.
And useless to prove anything.
Even the photos are not able to convince anyone either.
In the first photo, we see the traces of which are coupled to the suspension arm.
The tool came under the head, only with considerable effort.
April 12th, 2012, 5:40
It seems that Your english is good enough.
Plz read what i wrote. Only thing is i do not understand why You spit on someones work withouth asking me what could be the problem?
Is it possibile that tool is bad. Of course, they even get opened in customs, because when they see HddSurgery they think it is some doctors tools ...expecialy with Russian customs . Sometimes they do not want to alow it to cross customs.
If You done something wrong this could happen, but instead of contacting us You decided to act on Your own and modify the tool. We were just mail away.
I am not a seller, i am a collage. We also do datarecovery , and I was user of this forum long time we even started HDDSURgery. I was on Mhdd long time ago. We do not sell our tools like Sd or Ace, we do not have guys pulling your hand to buy it. We have collages , friends and then customers.
We all have same problems same drives same clients. I menaged not to make any enemies or not satisfied customers
and I am sad because You did not even come to me.
First I am sure We could help You solve Your problem.
Second i am sure You done something wrong that coused that problem.
And third even if You realy have a foulty tool for some reson, we would compensate you and we still will.
Puting this on the forum, withouth asking us show this is atack not a complaint and I do not see a reason for it.
Hope You will come back to us so we can sort this like gentelmans.
