In case...

January 29th, 2020, 12:21

Hello,
Working on Charger 2TB.
All sectors shows zero.

What if 190 is corrupted (trying to fix) ? ( all other mods. are intact 31, 33, 189...etc )

Is there a way to workaround ?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Reading with full speed, but all sectors shows zero.

you're attached to another object by an incline plane wrapped helically around an axis

So,
There's no way around but fixing corruption in mod 190, am I get it right?

Hello,

the 2nd translator looks like initialized, so there is no chance to recover structured data from this thing.
Btw, the name 'new' suggests there may be an 'old' version, which might be in a better shape?

if it's re-inited then yes
and it looks like re-inited

Can it be that module 190 starts only without doing any technical operation on the hard disk?

Have you tried searching for a trace of the module 0x190 in all the tracks of the SA?

That's what I wanted to confirm.
The drive was in Saudi Arabia and I believe it's already messed up.

@ Mr. Pepe : the 'new' is not suggests that there's an 'old'. (MRT not linked with DB so I created new folder and named it 'new')

In theory: is it possible to generate the second translator from 31 or 33 ?
Why 190 is 98 MB? :)

Thanks for trying to help Mr. Pepe and Mr. Doomer

no, 190 is not related to the old translator modules.
i have ideas to recover some data in suchlike situations, but it is not yet researched completely, moreover the data would not be like it was before.

Something related to building 190 from scratch and doing raw recovery without folder structure?
Some one told me that Ace trying to make something like simulated translator or virtual in cases like this and doing raw recovery in DE, is that true/possible?

yep, that was my idea. No time to implement it at the moment. I also suspect it can be done in different ways.

Thanks for the info Mr. Pepe.
Appreciate your help.

Request original SA from Saudi Arabia DR company, their representative is here on forum aswell.

In the first I misdiagnosis the drive behavior, the drive was spin up without heads moving then spin down ( typical issue of pre-amp failure )
When I opened the case I realized that someone has already remove heads contacts deliberately.
I believe it's not a famous company.
So, it's the costumer problem with that person and I told him the whole truth.

Simple format may reinitialize the translator and zero fill all sectors ?

Yes. "Simple" or "quick" format will give you a drive full of zeros
