Hello,
I received this drive spin up and calibrate normally.
NAND problem stays busy.
Two questions:
1- What family is it?
2- Is it supported by MRT?

I mis-diagnosed the error messages.
I didn't even unscrew the PCB to see if the NAND chip exist.

Shorting read channel at proper time gives me temporary access now, the drive reset power after a couple of reading sectors.

I will try to unlock ROM and figure out the FW problem and post back.

Do "NVCScram" and "FlashRestore" refer to a nonvolatile cache in the extra space at the end of the ROM, and is this cached area being flushed to the UA after a power cycle, albeit unsuccessfully???

I already did that and noticed a lot of differences.

I suspect that the Extra Space is used as a write cache during power loss events. Any unwritten data is saved to this area, and a critical event is logged in the CELog segment. When the drive next powers up, the firmware replays the pending write transactions, but in your case this appears to have failed ("Failed power-on replay: 0x0052").

Perhaps the two "DaT" blocks need to be re-initialised rather than cleared???

Totally agree.
That's what exactly came in my mind.
The drive reads one single sector then power cycle and repeat the error message and stays busy.
You're perfectly right

Could it be that the drive is unable to write, so it leaves the write data in NV cache and then remains busy???

Two drives in the same enclosure (QNAP - RAID 1) both with the same symptoms are unable to write?
