Have you tried unlocking it with your PC3000? What kind of drive? How do you know it's locked.
If you want help, you'll have to supply a lot more details.

whats hdd rock ?
July 28th, 2007, 20:03
I've heard of it recently. Is it any good? Can you actually brute force most drives quickly?
July 29th, 2007, 12:46
If the drive's on the Supported Drive List, yes, it'll unlock very quickly.
If it's not on the list, you can create a custom word and/or character set to try and brute-force the password. That will obviously take much longer

Like any tool, HDDRock should be part of an arsenal of weapons. There is a supported list (as with any tool) to make some actions easier, but brute force is often theonly way insome cases.

Hi,
AFAIK after 3 bad tries the drive needs a power cycle. This will make the process take an eternity

pepe, a correction: after 5 bad times hard drive needs a hardware reset (or a power cycle, which is much longer but not really needed in this situation)

Hi,
thanx Maysoft. It was about 4 years ago I dealt with this question last time. That's why I wrote AFAIK
