Hello friends I want to tell you how I managed to recover data from my hd seagate, because even though experience in the bio, it made a strange noise, ticking, and did not have a valid partition, what I did was update the firmware through the. iso seagate's website, and then used as a tool for data recovery program from seagate recorery file (easy to find on torrents site) is there to help me, sorry ITS verry bad English, translate for google. thanks.

Hello :)
Got old Maxtor Diamond Max 22 fw MX15, made 08327. Wasn't visible in bios but it would spin up and it sounded healthy. My first attempt was to change PCB for another identical (I did swap BIOS chip). Yes, wrong method. Didnt help. Then Ive found this thread. It seems to be a BSY issue.

So I've tried this fix and it almost works. My HDD is now visible in bios and it reports correct size. I can even see two new logical partition. However I cannot access them. HDD reports 100% utilisation all the time. Every piece of software freezes once I try to access the disk. PC won't boot with disc connected to it. HWInfo won't boot up with the disc connected. No matter how long I wait it won't access it. I've tried to perform the fix second time hoping that I've missed something the first time. No bueno :(

Anyone got any clues what might go wrong please?
