Is that a ZIF adapter in your package? Deepspar tell me that they are shipping a new SATA adapter these days that they designed themselves, there were some issues with the Marvell-based predecessor which are now ironed out.

Yep, the SATA adaptor I got with my DeepSpar is rubbish.

On a lot of drives (especially Seagate) with hard bad sectors, it resets the PC when trying to hard reset the drive.

Use my PC3000 adaptor, and it works fine.

Since this internet thing came, the number of screwed up hdds and the demand for professional help increased. Also the number of annoying beggers and diy, alas. I only care for business and my customers, so the mission of all these morons is harmless - except beggers - and it is also useful... The more they screw up hdds the more we expect to work and sell new hdds. Charge for diagnose and everything will be allright.
