Ok, still no luck. Still the same message. maybe the Hard disk is the issue!

The disk is a HDS724040KLAT80 (Hitachi Deskstar).

ok this is last turn if we get it then okay else its better you use data recovery softwares and backup all data. but for that you will need 400gb hardrive to backup all of it. were you usinf ntfs file system whilst you reformatted your harddrive?

Welcome djshary,
you still advising silly...

Do u know the difference between Quick Format and Full Format, even of High level format and low level format?
Do u know after copying file to a volume, data is recoverable!
Do u know converting to dynamic disk simply damaging data?

After all, real case of the drive...

Its a File System Corruption or Bad Sector.
Image the drive then work what you want.

'The Disk in Drive X is not formatted, Do you want to Format it now?' >>>> this is problem in BR section. if you try to convert to dynamic disk. it will not help you anymore. becuase Convert to dynamic just make change in MBR and not BR. So it will not help you anymore... if u try to do any further without knowing what r u doing. you will destroy the data integrity. SO stop doing convert or other. trust me my dear. Just use Data recovery software. if your drive do not have seriuos bad sector. Data Recovery software can help you the most.

You have said you have been SILLY. DONT BEEN THE SILLY for the second time.

Run R-Studio on your drive. Done.

IHateComputers,

you got a sneeze - and some idiot is trying to perform a kidney transplant on you.

Listen to Leo - he seems wise

It is just as well it failed. What djshary is telling you is actually the wrong way around. If you have a 'foreign' disk - from another computer you can use DM to import the drive/array/volume set into the current install. It will not work back-to-front.
