If you are not willing to help it costs me some euros (for the empty working thai disk) anyway cheaper than a diagnosis of some guru that cant repair it either in th end or just can't find the right numbers of the chips better just by searching longer or happens to have the right logic board WITH corresponding partnumbers If you seach for 8 pin eprom smd by ST chips there are hundreds of numbers that all refer to the same pinout but just to confuse us and custumers (and RD experts too i guess) So if you can't or just don't WANT to help, dont't reply on my request for INFO and HELP to GET ACCESS to my old drive again.. and yes ... offcourse i want to keep my data to myself!

I found out it must be the 25P0SVP or 2spzero so just find out if there is some PDF file of this chip anyway gonna try this.

I think he is confused and is referring to any 8-legged SOIC as an EEPROM

BIG NEWS AND SUCCESS !! DISK IS WORKING AGAIN! I FOUND OUT THAT THE EPROM PARTS ARE IDENTICAL I MEAN THE EPROMS, AS SAID BEFORE , and no matter what that the board layaout is different I GOT IT WORKING FINE AGAIN with the board from Thailand (China was never at war i think with them also....)!! But they have their own spicey bite to the outworld!

and studying of the pinout it has the exact same features... it carefully resoldered the chips and exchanged it and VOILA spinning and running and 100 percent fine now!

IMPORTANT IS THAT SPINNING UP is HARD WITH THESE DRIVES AND CONTACTS (logic board to inner parts, heads and spindle motorr) WILL CORRODE EASYILY, MAYBE THIS IS THE REASON FOR THE SPINUP PROBLEMS AND FAILURE? & POWER SURGES

My understanding is that the OP transferred the original EEPROM to the physically dissimilar board and now has a functioning drive. So I guess this proves that the PCBs are functionally identical.

Yes, as i wrote the EPROMS come in many brands and number layouts but are thus identical. Thanks everybody for the word doc to help me find out the right numbers on the chips!

If all we're talking about is a successful EEPROM move from one board to another of the same p/n then that's not exactly news, but OP doesn't ever make it clear if that was what he was asking
