Can't open files

Try searching here on the forum there is some good suggestions for cloning software if you do not have the tools to do this one. There is one that can handle some errors in the drive. But you are going to have to clone again this drive in order to get data from it and find your files. You stopped this and did not finish cloning it. I think this is what a good part of your problem is on this one. Try to clone it again and leave it to finish. I had one drive with really bad media damage on it that took close to 45+ days to clone it backwards. I got all data off of it. Right now there is another drive I work on and first half of this drive has bad media damge on it but the end seems to be just fine so I know it can be done but you have to allow the time to do this so that you can get off your data. Start over is my best suggestion to you on this one.

Yeah, I can see some photos (just 4 or 5 in a few thousands...)
I tried to recover with R-Studio but only in the donor drive. How can I recover from the original if it has problems?
I'm gonna study the hex system.

Hi, In R studio you can select the partition and use the 'open scan information' tab if the partition is still viewable and accessable. This is not always possible!

My preference is to use Dmde and select 'open volume' and see if you can then browse and select single files to recover.

Media tools is great but takes too long to image!

For an 80gb drive you could try using copyr.dma to image to another drive but you will have to connect both the source and target drives through a motherboard ata ide interface. After you would then carry out the recovery on the target drive using your favorite software.
Copyr.dma can work very well in this sort of case!

Problem is he stopped his clone. He never finished it at all. Before he goes on he should clone this drive in full. Then try again and see his results on it. Who knows how much of this drive he did clone and how much he did not. If he had a good tool to use to clone it with he could get off all files on it and not have to clone the entire drive on it. The DE allows for file recovery and so do other cloning tools. But for now he is using software cloning so he has no choice but to do it again and start over. He has skipped a large chunk of his data area when he stopped it during the cloning process cause it was taking too long as he has stated here. I would use Copyr.dma or another good program to start over with.
