Not any more you can't!!!

Maybe it has something to do with the fact the poster had linked Hddguru to non original pirated software/hardware.

Unfortunately Mr Learner that will not help you to make friends on Hddguru.

I completely agree with you BlackST.

Anybody with experience can use a $10 Radioshack soldering iron- but that is highly not recommended in DR because you are working on delicate equipment and de soldering an SMD with that $10 usually causes allot of problems.
But again- if you, me or any body here give a "learner" good equipment and try to teach him- the odds are he will bollocks it first, second and third time.
The same applies to everything else.

At the end of the day- the question was generally useless as this forum has MANY threads about rs323- search engines has ten fold more.
So this entire thread is theatricality a waste of space.

I don't mind sharing - but i hate it when people try to grab things.

If this thread is waste why you have spent time in posting & wasting other peoples time. If you are not capable to answer help someone ,why to waste other peoples time? why dont you concentratate on your work instead of useless posts? as simple as that

I actually agree with you on that one learner. Wasted 5 minutes of my life.
See you.

I am feeling sad about you , if you could not differntiate between $5 &$25 thing.
Why most of the pros prefer original acelab pc3000 rather than cheaper chinese? I hope you are intelletcual enough to distinguish between quality components , same board can be made using inferior pcb / older chipset and low grade capacitors. Do you prefer low cost chinese stuff? I have not asked to give me training. If you dont know the answer why making cry foul over it. There are so may peoples to answers & I got answer as well. If you dont know answer /do not want to answer ,simple solution to keep quiet.

Ah Ah ... this is a completely different thing.

- Real pros DO CARE about intellectual property. This may be "naive" or many people think it's not true....
- What makes the difference is not exactly the equipment, but the SERVICE behind equipment. Even if ACE tech support may be not always brilliant, at least , offcially, theoretically, there is one. The same for other equipment. I know there are chinese alternatives to much more expensive equipment, but there is no service behind and NO added value. Personally I am not in search of the less expensive alternative, to me the DOWNTIME for equipment failure is MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE. Of course all this is reverse charged to my customers, as I have to pay taxes even on the equipment I have or the spares I have to keep in stock, but I think in terms of SERVICE.
It's like buying chinese wrench / ratchet set and go to make maintenance or service, and these tools will break in your hands when used intensively (they will last a lifetime if used once per year , usually - or no ...) , this is a thing I avoid at EVERY COST. This is why I bought at outrageous price tools like Xcelite, Bahco, Cooper and italian brand Beta, Usag. Still using them after 20+ years, never betrayed - I use them to PRODUCE service , they give me SERVICE and all this is ADDED VALUE that means, finally, REVENUE. What's strange in it ?!?

P.S. sorry for posting after another one :

if you really want to make a serious adapter that will last a lifetime, have a talk with an engineer (sorry I can't give the schematic of the one I built) who has a certain practice on industrial communications, and design your own.
Take into account isolation , ESD and safety. There are plenty of commercial solutions available almost everywhere, either SMD or trough hole. Buy some extra parts and store , just in case - oh yes, chips DO go out of stock or EOL/NLA !

need-disk-donor-seagate-st31000333as-1tb-t15834.html

And this post is really interesting heheh, between you both learner & zebong

seagate-7200-t14959.html

We are going away from original thread..
Yes these pictures are right.
India has over Billion population and per capita resources are so less. Besides corruption /mis management is rampant.
However look at other side of the coin , in US fraction of world population enjoys great resoorces but all is not well there as well , you may be able see clean roads but unclean peoples , with dominating and aggressive killing strategies building up nuclear warheads and corporate culture without emotions.
You can see very clean roads in US /Europe , but for peace you will have to return to india , but Beatles to bush you will be forced to come to india because you peoples have lost in materialistic life , Indian culture is 5000 year old and not mere 100 year old. Sages and rishis in india have found profound truth which no western person can even imagine.
SO dont show these pics , if you want to see real india ,visite india and see despite these pictures and poverty we have not lost humanity , peoples are still happy here.

The only thing i agree with is that this thread is going off topic.

The rest applies to most of the world. India is not the oldest culture- its not the only suffering country in the world and i know places and people who are more at peace with them selves than people in India.

But we should not start talking about politics or we are all going to become enemies ...
