Strange it shows

Family: Unknown


But it should show a WDC 250GB.

Anyway i guess ill try your method and see.

If it happens to be a firmware issue what can i do then?

Did the paper trick, but its still showing BSY and all red lines on error register. and red light on WFT

Looks like my computer is now blue screening after removing the paper. Really strange

I'm sure I did it right though. I guess I might as well try the PCB replacement at this point Right?
