@mamamiaw - you can also try one more thing. Buy another 3TB WD identitical model external drive and use that bridge board. Note that the bridge board may still be slightly different but it is more than likely that they are same.

mamamiaw, Did you manage to fix the problem? Did you have a password on your drive? Did you find a replacement board(s)?
