If Disk Manager is inviting you to initialise the drive, then this means that it cannot understand the contents of sector 0.

Could you show us sector 0? You could use a disc editor such as DMDE (freeware). Select Mode -> Hexadecimal, or just launch DMDE with the Show Partitions box unchecked.
