the hdd password is the same i think with the bios password

After hashing, the results would be different.

"Salted with the random number in the boot block before storing in the CMOS"
"Salted with the random number in the boot block before storing in the EEPROM"
"Salted with the hashed Model number and the serial number before sending to HDDs"

Hi Guys after 5 years i'm back again with the same hdd
Is there any news about unlocking this hdd? otherwise its time to throw it away.

Is that your hard drive, what do you mean by got it? and lost the laptop? We need to clear this first that we are not unlocking someone else's personal data.
