The thing i find most disheartening is that the total power on time of this device was 20 days.... legit too. I barely used this HDD at all. Will never buy a Seagate again.

I understood that Toshiba got the Hitachi desktop drive business and WD the Hitachi laptop drive business. I have been recommending WD Black and Toshiba desktop drives and WD Black laptop drives for my customers on that basis. It's my impression that Toshiba's laptop drives have not been all that reliable, although it is only an impression and not based upon tests/statistics.
