It also does not currently handle entering passwords; if your drive is password-protected (and the bridge chip requires a password) but most of the work is already there (in kek.go); I just need to write the code that actually lets you type in a password, and then we'll be fine.

If you need help with this tool, the author has a forum in which he is an active member.
I don't understand why your bridge is not decrypting your data, but if it is due to a missing key sector, then you can retrive it, and all the remaining firmware modules, using a HDDSuperTool script.

http://www.sdcomputingservice.com/hddsu ... ects=0&d=1
If your drive has a "slow responding problem", then apply this script:

There is no need to stop your DIY efforts just yet.
Best of luck.

Roberto wrote:OK... I've now had a deeper look at the Key Sector.
Your key sector is definitely not password protected.
So it looks like you didn't set a password at all.
You have done your work...
Now let's see what I can do for you
I now have everything I need to try to solve your case.
Please give me some time.

fzabkar wrote:@Roberto, ISTM that the OP is using the wrong bridge, or the bridge has a problem with its ROM, or perhaps the VCD area is damaged.
Golr wrote:2) After connecting it to the desktop directly in a SATA port it still showed the same thing and prompted me to initialize the disk. I didn't know what initialization would do to the disk and on an impulse went on with initializing it as MBR. Seeing it didn't help I stopped there and did not create partition or format the drive. Nothing has been written on the disk since.

Should I get this info connecting the PCB separately or with the drive attached?
