There are a different Seagate drives F3 arch. with different ROM size 512, 1024 and 2048 kb.
Now "F3 Common Utility" can't recognize exact ROM size, that's why we should set manually the ROM size before writing.
The exact ROM size can be checked in backup profile folder.

Also, you can work in "Special Utility" (when you choose Family name).
E.g. you can enter in "F3 common utility" read a ROM chip and check Family code value (red triangle button on the right side of window).
There is the exact family name code (for example 0x27). Knowing the family name code you need to re-enter to the right "Family Utility" It allows to read/write ROM without any problems 8)
