Stop messing with the disk now and send it to a data recovery professional. (It might be cheap at the moment, if its simple firmware corruption.) Or if you can't afford a data recovery company,, put the disk away and save for it to be looked at. You should have done what everybody does, and back up your data, this is sadly an expensive lesson in not backing up.

i'm afraid these are client drives already. If you look at his posts, they are about a lot of different drives, basic questions, no tools... :s
