Well, to my surprise that worked. I had done some chckig on PUIS wiht a AI question on a method to stagger spin up of my drives. And in the process I bet this drive was the victim of being set and not undone.
So I installed seatools on my unraid box:

All smart test look perfect, except its 8 years running lol. But I've got older. So a decent spare. Maybe prices will come back down some one day.
