hi there,

this is the image i my HDD . .
i removed inductor by chance . . .
so i have solder the joints without inductor and now when i power up the HDD the capacitor fila ment burned like hell . . . .

Help me guys. . .

I asked you to show me a close-up photo before you did anything. I wanted to be certain which components were capacitors and which were inductors. I had also intended for you to perform some resistance measurements. The board I showed you is similar but obviously not identical.

Your earlier photos show that the 5V TVS diode was still installed and had 5V across it. Why did you subsequently remove it?

When you said that the "capacitor" was sparking, were you referring to the small component adjacent to the "+" sign, and below the 5V TVS diode?

Why did you remove the inductor at the RHS of the PCB? By doing this you have disconnected the +12V supply from the motor controller.

what i thought is inductor is capacitor. . .
thats why i removed it . . .
k i shouldnt had removed TVS diode as well as the inductor also . . .
now i have install both and

i marked the capacitor with the red box which is burned now. . .

Please refrain from randomly removing components.

You need to remove the PCB and take some measurements. I'll show you what to do. Just be patient.

BTW, I see you have a Sony Cybershot DSC-H20 camera. Doesn't it have a decent macro function?
