Agreed.
HDD - Almost 50 years of proven time in service (in some form or another)
SSD - (even if in a year) 2 years of in time service

It'll take a lot of time for me to believe that they are more reliable and better.

I'll just sit back, continue to use the HDD and see how many SSD's I have to fix. When I see their reliability and function has surpassed the HDD I'll give them a shot.

HDD_MASTER: hdd (becuase can fix them now?) (try think again like a pc user would!)

magneto: hdd (reliability and function has surpassed the HDD I'll give them a shot.)

So will i and probably pc users do the same, do they wait for such advances now ?

Thanks for that insight but I am a PC user. I choose HDD's because like everything that is developed the first sets are always the worst. To keep on the theme lets look at operating systems. XP was best when SP2 was released, Vista best when SP1 released

SSD'd are currently in a state of infancy and will undoubtedly get better. Until they have reliable capacities of 500 GB or so then maybe I will consider one.

With regards to repairs I have received 13 SSD's in the past 3 months and recovered each one. (not just deleted data but with physical work)

I admire people who jump on the new technology as it is released because these are the people who make manufacturers push out better tested hardware/software.

We are all PC users (except Mac plebs) and welcome new technology with open arms. Let’s encourage global knowledge and development by embracing SSD's but in the meantime let’s not forget the much cheaper and reliable offers that HDD's supply
