Please don't go!

P.S.
Why?

Why are you so interested in how much I'm willing to spend?

So maybe someone here will accept your 'quote' and you have the problem solved instead of endless discussions.

Why endless?
I'm getting as much information as I can

If I'm gonna send it to be repaired, I'm not gonna send it to first who comes!

Mmmm... I think you know a lot about recovery and recovery companies... and about the messes they can do (the discussion you linked me)

I know ti-ti, very little, and actually, I always hoped I would have never had something to do with them...!

Mmmm... I bet you made a great research! Or you gave me the first link that came out?

I'll be dumb, but I can't understand what's the problem: am I asking too much?

(P.S. Wtf I can't edit my posts???)

Can't help you anymore, you have all the info, you know everything. Your hope was a free solution, sorry there isn't any. Now you also have the answer why I don't want to work with end users : I give solutions, not excuses, but have to trust my professionality. Name and a cool website doesn't give a higher score, and from customer side, your disk/problem is YOURS and is one line on a report or a notch in my belt, cowboy style. No one is mandatory, everyone COULD BE useful. The fact you are still waiting, searching and comparing and didn't answer to the 'quotation' means only that data is not important and you can't afford/don't want to spend any money and nothing to be ashamed of it. There are physical and objective limits to technology and ' emule culture ' too. That's life.

Ok, but you must understand my point of view: first, I'm not rich, and I was not prepared to afford such an expense, it's not I want it for free; secondly, it'd be the first time I turn to recovery companies (actually, I hoped I had nothing to do with them!).

I know that advertising and a cool site don't mean reliability and that's WHY I'm writing in this forum and I'm making a search, and I'm interested in other users' experiences with companies.
Why don't you suggest someone, then?

For example, you gave the link to that discussion, but still I can't understand if some companies make so that the damage appears worse than it really is.

What do you mean by saying:
your disk/problem is YOURS and is one line on a report or a notch in my belt, cowboy style. No one is mandatory, everyone COULD BE useful

If I send my car to the mechanic, I pay for it being repaired, that's all
But in my case, yes, I'm worried about my stuff for being searched by unknown hands!

I'm still waiting because I don't want to rush things: in my hard disk I have personal stuff (photos, etc.) which would be lost and other stuff like programs, documentation, and much more which would require me years to be downloaded and put in order (I'm very meticolous) again, I just want all back

Need Data?-Meet Professional - BlackST there.
Need less price? - Don't meet professional. Search, u will find a lot of person wants to give u service but not guarantee - data loss/recovered/permanent loss of data... Professional can't provide the service for less price, but can recover your data. this is the difference.
A ass can't submit about 750 posts about Data Recovery. This is the last post about the topic anymore.
GOOD LUCK MR. WOLF

Thanks for your appreciation!
And thanks for your good luck! (Obviously I'm touching my balls!)! Good luck to you, too!

BlackST doesn't seem to be interested, though!

In italiano :

Non ci siamo capiti, sei tu che hai bisogno di recuperare i dati, non io. Non siamo al mercato.

In english :

You didn't get it : it's YOU in need for a DR, not me. And this is not Boston Fish Market.

And so? I'm not asking to recover my data for free, if you believe that!
But you don't give me information about your company

All I have to say is, I'm glad I'm not in this conversation. Mr Wolf, you'd drive me nuts. When someone suggested they change your 'name', I think they meant your tag line: I'm Winston Wolf, I create problems

Now you are! AH!AH!AH!

Hey, it's my hard disk, I do care it! It's important to me!

Thanks for you appreciation, too, and good luck also to you!

Still don't get what the problem is: I'm asking too much? You say I should just send it to a company and wait and that's all?

Else I don't know, there's something "hidden" I'm missing in this forum...

Re: Hard disk Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 broken - Advice

I'm going to tell you a horrible truth. This is how you buy a loaf of bread. You pick a loaf of bread, bright it to the cashier, and give them money for it. That's it. No mystery. I know it's hard to believe that buying bread is so simple, but perhaps you can wander around the store, asking questions, questioning prices, and doing everything but buying bread, until they kick you out without the bread.

Yes, you're missing something, but it's not hidden.

Ok, I got it: ask Google, choose and pray, great advice

Mmmm... only a question: have you ever gone to do shopping (food)?

Re: Hard disk Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 broken - Advice

October 21st, 2008, 19:31

Have you ever gone food shopping without getting kicked out?

Seriously, what ELSE could anyone here offer you? You already want more than what most people do (Google and choose), and when someone here offers you advice, you criticize it because it must come from one of those greedy bastards in a DR company. You really have a great opportunity here. You could either get help fixing it yourself, or you could get in touch directly with those who can recover your data. You can even search someone's posts, and size them up if you wish. Maybe I don't understand you, but it sure seems like what you're asking for IS HERE. You know, maybe you'll get a better answer on some warez forum with a bunch of 31337 script kiddies with advice that leads to a one-way trip to a freezer in a ziploc.

What's even worse is that at present I am near him - probably less than 2 hours - but it was a real turnoff. Sometimes people kick off luck.
