I think companies that charge 200 dollars will hurt too. The bigger DR companies only need to do one 2000 USD job for 10 x 200 dollar jobs and do 1/10 th of the work.

DR companies who charge $2000 and DR comapanies charge $200 usually have different clients

I remember once when a potential customer queried "Why our prices are so cheap?" .. It was a strange question but some companies would rather pay 2/3k USD to a crap company with expensive pricing!

You "DON'T" always get what you pay for -PERIOD .... ;o)

"This offer is limited to drives that can be imaged. "

that says it all. Only performs logical recoveries, or his logical recovery is $200 flat rate, but physical is more.

I would say $200 USD for logical is reasonable

the real question is, are they just imaging drives blindly without proper diagnosis. If so, then this is very bad, if they are at least diagnosing them before they image, then this is not so bad.

Hi, Russwinter,

So you think the image is a watershed? The logical recovery is flat rate and fixed. The physical recoveries are different according to particular case?

It makes sense to clients. I think

Logical recovery flat rate at 200 USD ?

I wonder if a client send drives with size of 1.5 TB from PC based CCTV recording system, 60 GB file of each video......will it be the same price ?

So we should charge according to the capacity of the recovered files?

:D

January will probably be a record month for our business. Business is great! Hopefully 2009 will bring more crappy drives from the same manufacturers.

In today's time, we could really feel the financial crisis in our daily routine. Many people there who are often don't eat regular, people could not go to the hospital for their medical condition and others are sleeping on the streets. But we need to fight for this crisis in our life. Let us help each other and we need work harder to survive.
