I visited my local technician and he says that it might be a "freozen lock" issue. You read it right, "freozen"(I made him write it for me). No idea what it is and tried to search everywhere and got no results, what does this mean ?

It means he has invented an issue because he does not know what is wrong with your case

Yeh. He is doing HDD repair from 15 years and have gotten several repaired before. So there is no such thing called as "freozen lock" ?

Amazing. Several in 15 years :D . What maybe was intended was "FROZEN LOCK".

It seems totally wrong diagnose to me, but anyway, if you take me a FROZEN LOCK drive like yours, in approx. 40 seconds you have a FRESHLY UNLOCKED drive.

Why then didn't you tell him "OK, then unlock it!" ? Or are you asking how to do it on your own after getting free diagnose ?

I think there's something really wrong goin' on.

He says his job is to just make sure if the hardware is perfect and this is something that can be done by a software and he has no clue as to how to do it because he doesn't deal with it.

I knew he was bullshitting !

I skipped a few posts, so forgive me if I'm repeating what was already said. "Local technician" does not equal "data recovery pro" almost 100% of the time. It seems clear that you are in over your head and it is best to seek the assistance of an actual data recovery pro who will likely no longer offer a free assessment, due to the DIY attempts, but will definitely be able to properly diagnose and quote for the recovery of your data.
