:D Hi, you can find the download in our web. And we have been researching the new drive.

Of course they also want to update our tools quickly. But as you know it will take some time to get new achievements.

However, I will send this message to our researchers again. And try our best.

why r they phenomenally overrated duncan?
is there something better than a clean room to do surgery on the HDD?

When you open most drives, all the dust and particles that have accumulated in the space between the top cover and body explodes into the surrounding area.

It's generally not possible to get rid of this before opening a drive - not without some sort of high-pressure fluid rinse - and even that would not eradicate everything.

In a clean room, this itself would result in total contamination of the entire area - so, not so clean after all.

I have a clean cabinet that I use on rare occasions. (For the pet rabbit when it's raining. After all, this is England...)

The best method is a "clean" environment (no wind / draughts, closed doors and windows) and careful use of a can of compressed air.

However, there is no doubt that in procedures that are likely to take a long time, there are definite advantages to having a clean room, provided the drive is opened outside the room.

what a lot of people dont know is that mostly all data recovery company talk a load of crap.
as people dont know what a clean room is they tell them crap saying dust will destroy there data forever.

total crap i done recovery work and head swaps and the hard drive just works fine and recovery the data no problems at all .
if dust gets on the platter i simply use a can of compressed air.

allso companys like ontrack talk out of there arse saying they can recovery data from crashed heads wft
here the main problem crashed head if it happens the data is on the platter
scrape scrape information gone forever.
you got dust in a little bag nothing more.

same goes with hard drives that have been in fires total crap
the platters would be destroyed right away.

yep its very much true Clean rooms are phenomenally overrated. BIGTIME

main reason is so they can charge extra for a clean room on top
and explain if nothing can be done your have to pay them a nice fee
other meaning the recovery companys have just made about $500 or more of your hard earn cash
for doing nothing

As for The cleanroom,I think it is more like a marketing strategy for a data recovery company.

We have to keep our secrets and mysteries in this field. I don't want to our customers to know too much about it.

How can you convince your customers that you are professional? How can they trust you?Customers can not judge only by your words because they don't know very well. They will trust their eyes bettern than their ears.

To do Data Recovery is not only a serices. You are running a business too. So, on this aspect, you need some equipments such as Cleanroom to make your "OUTLOOK" brighter.

That's my oponion. Thanks you!

Regards

Laura

that all it is a marketing strategy and for them to look professional
and some companys do lie and say we need to take it into a clean room for further checking.
and they charge a lot of money to do so.

so say if you got 10 hard drives and you tell the customer oh its got to go into a clean room
but we have to charge for this
that a lot of money for not even checking the drives out.

i know some well known company and they just let the drives sit on a rack
and charging the client money for not doing anything at all to the drives.

Craig,

However, I suggest professional company own one data recovery lab. To open disks outside a lab, it is very risky.

At least, you need a cleancabinet.

Best Regards

Laura

hi I owned everything except fujitsu.... so far i haven't came across much FW/SA damaged drive yet... i wish HD DR would let me copy or DD the drive instead of just let me read the drive in hex by sector.... Also i wish Salvation data updates more quickly or often with the drive updates.

customer service and tech support seems to be always on top of it!!!!!!

Hi Salvation Laura n Susan
I have a Maxtor OT4Plus with a Seagate 7200.11 1TB ST31000340AS firmware SD35
it hang any computer plug to it, sent to a friend doing WD but he cannot communicate
with the disk, he used exchange method to do the PCB n flash a firmware for a Seagate
friend of SD35 but...he used a card from USA but also cannnot communicate. I asked a
recovery centre n they said since no physical damage then could be the translator
corrupted n need to program it...is HD Doctor able to solve things like translator
automatically if its not a firmware corrupt? Tkz

translator is a part of the firmware, so if it is corrupt, the FW is corrupt...

hi,mork,if your firmware of 7200.11 is corrupted, then no tool can repair it till now, even HD Doctor, but as far as i know, most of the problems around 80% that caused the drive cannot be detected by BIOS,is not the fw corrupt, then you can use hd doctor to get ur data
