I was once paid £150 by ABC Data Recovery to go on the top of the list. This was refunded - as ABC has not requested to join - or submitted sufficient proof.
Then why is he displaying the IPDRA logo on his site?
http://www.abc-data-recovery.co.ukDave
I think that is just another excuse to talk about clean room certification, or apparent lack of it. with a bit of luck his new years resolution will be to find something else to talk about to keep himself amused

@dr.king Dave I do have something new to talk about.
Some of the HDDGurus were repeating the misinformation put out by those involved in the data recovery scams who were trying to put me out of business.
I have been able to identify those involved and exposed their masters, I am sure they wished they had not tried to say I did not have a clean room
I was offerred IPDRA membership in recognition of the help I have given to those affected by the data recovery scams and my work collecting the evidence needed in the courts.
The IPDRA IMO needs a complete rethink but for now there is nothing else.
The great thing about forums like HDDGuru is all the IP's and posts are kept, even if they are hidden.
For those of you not already aware, the reason I had to defend my company was because there were some who were attempting to damage my business, they could not believe I was building a lab and a team of technicians and support staff and thought they could get away with what they were saying on various websites and forums.
I can say that those who picked on me have been exposed and earlier this year I won the court case they brought against me. Despite them telling many they were suing me for £250,000 plus £25,000 per day they were mulcted.
The Judge awarded me more than they were suing me for -- The money has gone to a good cause.

There are other cases pending.
I am sure
hddguy and
hddspaz will have something to say but before you do I would await the outcome of the next case - a hearing of the High Court Injunction brought against those posting on
http://www.data-recovery-blog.co.uk which is awaiting allocation.
I am told that some of the victims of the data recovery scams have been given out of court settlements and there are many other revelations about the company involved and its expert witnesses.
The High Court hearing will cost "in the high 6 figures" I hope they can get after the event legal insurance !
Most HDD Guru members will not wish to be seen to have been involved with defrauding consumers and attacking the few members who were willing to speak out.
My many rants helped draw those involved out, I may never have bothered looking into how they operated had they not tried to say I was telling Porky Pies about my facilities.
I apologise to those who may have interpreted my responses as directed at them, I had to find out who was linked to who.
Thanks go out to all those who have helped.
Andy
