You have already been advised to read page 3 and there you will find the answers

I don't know but your password was set by the bios so the password in the 22 dump might be different from what has to be entered directly during the emachine start up. So you might find it easier to enter the password using Victoria or Mhdd or the like.

Tick Head0 and Head1. Click write.
You might also have to fill in the other information, like number of heads, heads in use, etc ....
If all the rest fails, copy that information from a known good equal drive.

It fails, can't read or write.

that can't be unlocked by conventional methods (like ... ZU

ZU can.
you need to choose right port & M/B chipset.

If drive rejects Techno Key or keep access to SA "locked" then ZU can't read module with password at all.

ZU can.
No software can unless you start the drive in safe mode or swap pcb ...

pcb-swap is not necessary
ZU was tried on that locked drive ... and failed.

zu works only on channels (/p & /s) and only in IDE-compatibility mode. (M/B i865,i440BX+IDE-->SATA converter,i440LX+IDE-->SATA converter & other)
an acer notebook

it may not meet the above requirements

Did you test ZU with WD1600BEVS-08VAT2 ?

that does not important

Are you changing something on RAM on the fly to gain access to SA again ?

no.memory(RAM) access (read & write) is also prohibited. (cmd= ok!,but no DRQ)
(MHDD SCRIPT)

MHDD can.
need to know what to send to the disk.
method & program is not important.

PapashaBeppe
In this topic volosator has a Lenovo notebook hdd
WD3200BEVS-08VAT2 SATA FW:14.01A14 and could not unlock the drive with zu.
I have WD1600BEVS-08VAT2_14.01A14 and zu.betta.050911 couldn't unlock the drive.
I tried another non-Lenovo WD hdd and MHDD could read password module, while MHDD couldn't read the Lenovo hdd. I guess zu could have unlocked it, but it wasn't locked.

his drive was not working properly (write error)
I have WD1600BEVS-08VAT2_14.01A14 and zu.betta.050911 couldn't unlock the drive.

because you tried to take it off in Acer.

08VAT2 this Denali.
with Denali no problems have been reported.

while MHDD couldn't read the Lenovo hddI guess zu could have unlocked it, but it wasn't locked.

zu works by other method (than MHDD Script).

I didn't see mentioning any write errors, his drive died, that's what he said.

I tried with MSI P965 Neo mobo, also.

I connected to sata port, tried all ports, none worked. Set bios to compatible mode. As said I used latest zu. (3664 bytes, 050911)
Don't have sata-ide adapter. so couldn't try ide port.

HDD Unlock Wizard does not recognize my hard drive

Please make sure that your motherboard IDE/SATA controller is not running in AHCI/RAID mode.

Also, some chipsets (for example, SiS) and most PCI IDE/SATA/RAID controllers (for example, Promise, SiI/Silicon Image, HPT, Adaptec) do not support special non-standard protocol that HDD Unlock Wizard uses. We suggest that you only use standard IDE/SATA ports on your motherboard. The motherboard itself should not be based on a SiS chipset.

If these suggestions do not help, then please try HDD Unlock Wizard on a different platform.

do not know

was
WD1600BEVS-08VAT2 14.01A14

now
WD800BEVS-08VAT1 13.01A13

This is second drive or the drive after turning off the head ?
I need firmware mods from their.

WD1600BEVS-08VAT2 14.01A14 or WD800BEVS-08VAT1 13.01A13, makes no difference, they are same drives just different capacity, neither can be unlocked by zu :( .
WD1600BEVS could be unlocked by pcb swap because I had 2 identical drives and could read security sector.
Can't do the same with WD800BEVS, because I haven't got another identical drive. Tried with WD1600BEVS PCB, PCB number is the same, but all modules remain hidden. :(
Also have a Hitachi (Lenovo) HDD, HTS541660J9SA00 with same problem.
I asked author of zu about the new version, but didn't reply.
Or are you the author in disguise? :D
