Hello people
I have some problems with this hdd
I have some hdd maxtor 6y80l0 when run mhdd its show"!!!!!!!!!!!" all the map
the setup recognized the capacity of this hdd but can not format
I dont know know how solve this problem with this model of hdd
The second hdd the logical burn, when I put the same logic of another donnor its recoznized setup but it have a noise "jjjj...jjjj"
With hdd regenerator its regenerate the sectors.. but all sector have problem!!!! i need very long time for the disc is ok!!!
do you know some software what solve this problem with this hdd hitachi??

Maxtor: bad SA or security set. Check modules and/or reset security. Also Hpa?
Hitachi: incompatible pcb or damaged preamp/headstack. A small chance for sa - check it, but having a suitable pcb and nvram ok.

hi blackst

If i checks all... how repaired this problem in maxtor drive? how reset security???
in hitachi drive the pcb is the same and the preamp isnt bad because the hdd regenerator recover all the sectors.. but is 12000000 sectors!!! very long time!!!!
Another suggestion?

You have to refer those questions to PC3000 support.
You should have had some training, otherwise there was no point of buying PC3000...

....or you simply don't have pc3000, because I can not imaging a person with it and not knowing how to operate it.

Well, well on first stop u posts if u doesnt want to lost help from this forum on first u should be read the topic for "newbies" not many hddguru´s want to lost their times, answering a people who doesnt know nothing about hdd´s and doesnt want to know and who think´s "the solution for my DR problems its bought that tool´s " , if u read that posts for newbies, u should find on that many people explain´s , the DR its not a "easy solution button" like next--> next--> smile Data Recovery, and like black st said there are not "Magic tools," there are only " Tools" which help ús to find the problem and some times the way to the solution but there are Not the solution.
