Can someone recommend a cheap BGA soldering station (IR) ? I expect something below 5000 USD.....if possible.

Thanks.

What do you guys think of those IR BGA under $1,000 on EBay? Anyone actually have one? Do they last?

There's nothing like brand new with mfg. Support. Ebay is good if you know a model and you're looking for bargains.

My 2 cent: if you use it everyday you need not to be left alone in the dark when spares needed. For example Weller and Philips still provide EVERYTHING even for oldest equipment, and for me a unusable tool is a big and unacceptable profit loss. That's why I prefer the big names even if their prices are high - I have saved lots of money on long term ;-)
