Hi,
We were trying to use the HPA on WD 2gig drives, it says that the drive doesnt support the HPA mode, is there any other way that we can block the the last few Cylinders permanently as they are bad.
Also if you can tell me what software tool can help us in working with p-list and g-list.

I mean what PC3000 can work with P-list, G-list

If you read ATA detasheets you will find more informations about HPA feature; Old WD disk's don't support this feature and for resizing zone table must be modified!

For WDs you do not need to make changes to zone table to resize the hdd. 
But HPA will not work on old WDs.
