Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi,
I've got a Maxtor 6B200S0 that got damaged in a power supply failure ("SMOOTH" IC is burned out), and I'm cognizant enough of my limitations to know that recovery is way beyond my means. I'm looking for an experienced DR pro in New York City or New Jersey that can tackle this job, preferably one with a good posting history here so I can be confident in their capabilities.
What can I say, I love doing business with local folks. Haven't been screwed over once yet.

Thanks in advance.

Use the 'members' function of the forum and search by location and post count... Unless you want to send it to Italy.

Yep, I came up with rchadwick so far, but not everybody has a location filled out so I was wondering if anybody would know more (or even have a reference to a DR pro that doesn't post here). Thanks for your advice though, BlackST.
