Hello hddguru´s

We got a case to DR Certified Repaired HDD, Model ST3400832A Site code: WU , Firmware: 3.06 , the hdd knocks, the problem its this model its recertified , heads are 6 , like a seagate 500GB, the problem its how to find a donnor?, Does any one works with similar case, doesnt looks damaged at surface over the top platter

Hi Beto,

My last case off seagate certified i just match the site code and could get the data very very slow.
The FW off the donnor drives do not match but it works.

Hy blackst yes looks like 500GB 6 heads, but how to know, if was depop and modifed adpative, data, zebong, did u told me tried with similar donnor, from 400 or 500GB matching site code?

TONKA? It's simple. Check the headmap. Can be depopped head and max lba reduced, then selfscanned. Had similar case, solved quickly finding a SUITABLE DONOR. I'll PM you later.

Hello this day i tried to check the head map by terminal , but now the hdd stay on Buzz, with spindle working , like heads doesnt move from the land zone , strange maybe are there some problems on VCM
