Toshiba MK4026GAXB Help

March 4th, 2009, 18:27

Hi All,

Trying to recover a Toshiba MK4026GAXB drive.
Not recognized in WinXP or Linux using either IDE or USB...

But when connected via a usb enclosure and using third party software, for example Partition Find and Mount.
It finds a generic usb drive but labled as a 360Gb drive.

When using another ide to usb cable and using the same software it gets detected right as a generic usb 40Gb drive.

Have tried many different recovery software and its simply not found.
Seatools finds it but cant do no testing.
But others like DiskExplorer and GetDataBack cant find the drive.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

On first should be good check for low level problems , u can use mhdd and check if hdd its correctly detected by ATA protocol´s comunnication betwen HOST , if its detected run a scan, and check for bad sectors on first

This problem could be solved by a pro only.

No, there is no other way around, unless you will spend years learning.
