Hello friend´s i need to know if some one works with this NAS; this hdd arrived with bad sector problems inside there are a 6H500R0, was impossible to clone it using patient heads now we can read sectors, the problem its i dont know with FS use at LBA 0 MBR Said " MBR BROADCOM NAS V 1.1 " , we tried with all soft´s but anyone find something , searching about this i find the PDF , and said this "support NFS and CFIS" Features, Encryption Dectryption Block 3DES,CBC, DES,CBC etc. so that means interanlly the sectores are encrypted? this is data sheet

i cant use the NAS Box, because doesnt detect any hdd unfortunely

Hi beto, I never dealt with one yet, so i absolutely have no idea. But searching through seagate forum, I found this :

It's "probably" ReiserFS or Unix derivatives, you can try R-Studio or UFS EXplorer to check. But I'm not sure about this. Please check again, because I guess, this NAS uses embedded Linux, so anything is possible (Encryption by firmware, etc)

beto.. I think. There is 2 part in Data Area.
one is for NAS Controller that have embedded with LINUX too
and the other one is Data Area have LINUX too

That's what I'm afraid of.....beto, you might need to use a working NAS controller same as patient's to work with this one

Do you have access to the NAS Controller, this would be your best bet.

"Broadcom NAS Version 1.0 MBR" is part of the Broadcom unique Disk Header Format. It uses it's own disk header and info blocks, partition is most likley a Linux partition. Look at the offsets and try to identify the parition by looking at it with a hex editor if you don't have a NAS Controller.

512-1535 The first partition table region.
1536-2559 The second partition table region
