This is only an initial enquiry. I may find myself in a position where I will need three (or possibly four) DR engineers, and I will need to move quickly, so I need to know if I am able to get a team together should it be necessary.

They need to be utterly competent in every area of DR, including head swaps, firmware, file systems (NFTS, FAT, ext2/3, XFS, HFS, etc) and all RAID configurations. Experience of clean room (laminar flow workbenches) is assumed.

You will be employed on a contract basis (this is not likely to be a long-term position) and the hours will be full-time with probably plenty of overtime available.

Remuneration will be in the way of a competitive salary (depending on your take of "competitive" which probably varies from company to company) - plus you will be paid a "bonus" for each and every successful recovery.

Before you even start, you will be given some extremely awkward recoveries to deal with (drives will be obliterated afterwards, for obvious reasons) so if you are not up to it, please don't apply.

Candidates will need to be able to get to Lymington, Hampshire, at short notice. There are plenty of properties to rent in the area, and you may qualify for some assistance in securing a property for the duration.

Where's the beef ? How long is the "contract" period and what is the base remuneration ? Just to have an idea, I have some spare time...

I feel the need, yet again, for the benefit of certain individuals, that this is only a preliminary enquiry to establish the availability of potential candidates should the contract proceed.

It would be a minimum of three months, possibly stretching to over a year.

Base remuneration would be in the region of £35k per annum base, plus anywhere betweeen £30 and £50 per successful recovery.

Can be an option for UK based sufficiently skilled pros, because it is 8750 £ for 3 months, you have to pay taxes on it (unless it is net) , deduce expenses for accomodation and living and so on. The extras per successful recovery are a plus. However it's not bad for people with good will and who want to make an interesting experience.
