hello Guys,
I have a problem with my maxtor:
DiamondMax 17
Model: 6G160P0
160GB ATA/133 HDD
the HD don't work and is seen in BIOS like Maxtor SHASTA
I need FIRMWARE AND LOADER (FIRMWARE FLASHER). If anyone can share the loader and firmware i woud appreciate it.

No such thing as "firmware flasher".
This is a hard drive, not a mobile phone.
You need expensive ($1,000's) to fix this firmware problem.
Oh, and training....experience...etc

how is giving firmware and loader to someone who exposes themselves in a public place going to repair the hard drive? Have I missed something?

If you have SD or ACE tools it won't be a problem, I think.

There's one thing in supplying firmware, I can do this (or any pro on this forum) for free for sure.
Another thing is applying it. There is NO SUCH THING as a universal flash update for hard drives. You need something like PC3000 or Salvation PLUS knowledge to know WHICH modules within the f/w to update/repair. One mistake and your HDD could be toast beyond repair.
