Hi to all.
I need help for recovery data from Hitachi HTS541612J9SA00.
I connect it to PC3KUdma and power on. The Hdd go to ready but utility do not recognize the Hdd Family. I manual select family and start utility.
If i try to make a SA Check, i cannot have access to SA.
I try to start in Safe Mode. For start in Safe Mode i modify NVR FW boot flag from 0x01 to 0x00.
Starting in safe mode, the utility do not recognize the family. I select manual select family and start utility.
Now i have access on SA. I run SA Check. I see all module on copy0 is good and all module on copy 1 are bad.
I saved all copy0 module and i try to save it to copy1. I can rewrite all module on copy1 except PSHT and RSVT. Now if i run SA check, i see the only bad module are PSHT and RSVT on copy1.
I re-modify the NVR FW boot flag from 0x00 to 0x01 and restart Hdd.
Nothing change. I cannot have access to SA and to data.
I try to use DE settend on Using Active Utility for cloning Hdd, but all sector are BLACK and i cannot read anything.
My question is..... but is sufficient have one good copy of PSHT to have access on data, or is necessary have both good copy ?
I try anything, but i cannot clone the Hdd.

Please, someone can give me some help to have access on data ? :(

Thank you very mutch to all.

Bye

Have you opened the drive and checked the platters for scratch? I'm afraid there's something like that and head damage. Hint: maybe Salvation DC can be of help in your case.
